Back in February VOOM Nutrition proudly sponsored 'The Voom Stage' at the inaugural FIT Cumbria health and fitness show held at Rheged Visitor Centre, near Penrith, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. With a series of interesting and informative talks from a variety of speakers there was something for anyone with an interest in health or fitness.

 

Jo Rycroft from VOOM Nutrition gave an in depth talk on 'Race day Nutrition', highlighting the importance of fueling on event performance. From basics through to detailed examples Jo discussed pre-race hydration and fueling, nutrition during a race and optimising post-race recovery through what you eat. The talk focused on good nutrition for running events but her tips were also applicable to other endurance sports.
